A couple of important announcements:
First, we have decided (after many, many hours of discussion) to allow Special Characters in army lists at WW8. Small stipulation, however. For 40K you may only include ONE special or named character in your army list. For Warhammer, you may only include one special or named character as a Hero choice – no Lords. Second, we are including, for the first time, Warmachine / Hordes. On Saturday the 17th, there is a 35 point 2011 Steamroller tournament, and on Sunday the 18th we have a 15 point ‘Casters and ‘Jacks Mangled Metal event. Players may enter one or both of these – sign-ups are separate on the website. Visit the Registration Page to sign up!
And because we’re welcoming Warmachine into the Wasteland fold, there is a new category in the painted miniature competition for the game’s models. Divisions are similar to the other categories – small, for single miniatures on 40mm bases or smaller, and large for the big warjacks and warbeasts. Since the tournament scene for Warmachine is quite a bit different than what we’re used to with Warhammer, we don’t have just a whole lot of information on the website just yet. We will be following the Steamroller rules, so look at those on Privateer’s site if you have questions on that format.
